List of Trustees and Committee membership:

Mr. David Hart - Chairman of Council
Mr Hart is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and, following a military career, spent 15 years in the financial services industry in the City of London. He then became the Finance Director and Company Secretary for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Mr Hart has broad experience in the charity field and is also the Honorary Treasurer and a Governor of the Royal Star and Garter Homes. Mr Hart is a member of the Finance and Investment Committee.

Mr. Michael Bizzey - Honorary Treasurer
Mr Bizzey is a trained accountant who, for most of his career, held the post of Financial Director and Company Secretary with Notcutts, a company employing around 1,000 people. His portfolio included employment law, pensions and staff welfare. He served for many years as a Trustee of the company's pension scheme. Mr Bizzey is a member of the Finance and Investment Committee.

Mrs. Ruth Buxbaum
Mrs Buxham is a Registered Sick Children's Nurse. She worked as a children's nurse and as Senior Nurse Manager before a career move into personnel. She is currently working as a Human Resources Business Partner at Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust.

Mrs. Di Caulfeild-Stoker
Mrs Caulfeild-Stoker has been the Director of Provider Services at Wandsworth PCT since October 2005. She is accountable for all the clinical services within the PCT. She is the professional lead for all the nursing and therapy staff and has been a Director within the NHS since 2001 in both hospital and community settings. She has also held general management and marketing positions and has considerable experience in developing Clinical Governance and Risk Management systems and processes. Mrs Caulfeild-Stoker is a member of the Grants Committee.

Mr. Philip Clarke - Chairman of the Grants Committee
Mr Clarke , who has a been a trustee since 1998, is a Registered Nurse with clinical and managerial experience in the NHS and independent sectors. He was Director of Nursing at Guys and Lewisham NHS Trust with responsibility for Lewisham Acute Hospitals. As a member of the National Association of Perioperative Practice, he was former Chairman of both the Education and Public Relations committees and in 1994 was Chairman of the Annual Congress Organising Committee. He has lectured in Europe and the USA on  Operating Theatre Practice and was Joint Editor of The Textbox on Theatre Nursing.

Mrs. Carolyne Curties
Mrs Curties is a Registered Nurse and qualified Counsellor. She worked in the fields of psychiatry, neurology and as an addiction counsellor and  is now retired. Mrs Curties is a member of the Grants Committee.

Professor Christina Edwards, CBE
Mrs Edwards has extensive experience in nursing, professional and general management. Her current role is Director of Nursing at the National Performance Support Team at the Department of Health. Mrs Edwards has worked at all levels of the Healthcare economy form the grass roots to national levels in addition to having experience of the voluntary sector. In 2002, she was awarded an honorary professorial chair in the Department of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Hull.

Dr. Olivia Faber
Dr Faber joined the charity in February 2008. She is originally from Zimbabwe and completed her medical training at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, London. She has been practising as a part-time General Practitioner Principal in Hampshire for 3yrs, and has special interests in dermatology and rheumatology. Dr Faber is the first medical doctor to serve on the Council of NurseAid, and will bring a new perspective and field of expertise to the board.


Mr. Lindsay Forbes
Mr Forbes has over 25 years experience in commercial banking, structured finance and private equity. He has extensive management experience in international and multi-cultural environments and currently works for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development assisting former ComeCon economies in the transition to free market economies. Mr Forbes is a qualified solicitor and has an MBA. He is a member of the Finance and Investment Committee.

Mrs. Alison Holdsworth
Mrs Holdsworth has been in independent practice as a Barrister (practising as Alison Hewitt) since 1986. She works in a number of areas including Disciplinary Tribunals, Judicial Reviews, Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence and Employment Law. Mrs Holdsworth also has experience of acting as a Legal Assessor for the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Mrs Holdsworth is a member of the Finance and Investment Committee.

Miss Josephine Jones - Chairman of the Fundraising and Promotions Committee
Miss Jones is a Registered Nurse who specialised in theatre nursing. She has also worked as a Nurse Planning Officer and advised hospitals in Europe and as a Manager in both the National Health Service and the private sector. Miss Jones was appointed as a Queen's Honorary Nursing Sister for the Territorial Army. She has held a number of voluntary posts in support groups for nurses such as Independent Nurse Managers Forum and has also been a member of the Committee responsible for organising the annual National Association of Theatre Nurses Congress.

Mrs. Julia Longman
Mrs Longman currently works as the Head Teacher of a Primary School. She has a wide-ranging background in teaching, social work and counselling. Mrs Longman holds an MA in education.

Miss Susan Porter - Vice Chairman of the Grants Committee
Miss Porter is a Registered Nurse and has wide ranging experience in nursing. She was a Senior Nurse Manager for a Central London NHS Trust and an expert witness for a nursing consultancy. She now works as a volunteer Generalist Advice Worker for the Citizens Advice Bureau and has a wide knowledge of the benefits system. Miss Porter also served as the Chairman of the House Committee for the residents of Clarence House, a sheltered housing scheme for elderly people in Weston-super-Mare.

Mr. Paul Jackson-Clark
Mr. Jackson-Clark is a senior Fundraising Manager with 14 years experience in the not-for-profit sector and 3 years in the commercial sector. He has first hand experience of all major fundraising business areas, large scale information system deployments, authoring strategic plans and facilitating business processes change. He is currently the Head of Fundraising Information and Analysis at Marie Curie Cancer Care where he has worked since 1992. He became a Trustee of NurseAid in May 2007 and is a member of the Fundraising and Promotions Committee.
