| NurseAid is one of the major benevolent funds solely for those in the nursing and caring profession within the UK. We can help Registered nurses with more than 3 years experience, Auxiliary nurses with more than 5 years experience and student nurses who are in a crisis situation or suffering ill health which threatens to disrupt their studies.
NurseAid is a national organisation and can help nurses from all across the UK. We can accept applications directly from individuals or from those who are supporting them such as Social Workers, Debt Advisors etc. You can find out more in the section ‘How to apply’.
NurseAid aims to keep its overheads to a minimum and to use its funds to support those in need. In recent years however the charity has grown with the numbers of applications increasing each year. We have therefore recently moved into a larger office and employed new staff to maintain the personal level of support which we wish to offer to all of our beneficiaries and to those who apply to us.
There are now a team of three staff who are there to ensure that all applicants are dealt with in a warm and sympathetic manner and that applications are assessed quickly.
The current team are Ann Marie Barnard - the Director of NurseAid and a nurse since 1979, Shelley Robbins the Grants Officer and Linda King the Office Administrator.
