Chairman's message

David Hart.JPG"No-one who is, or has ever been a nurse should suffer hardship" is our maxim at NurseAid. Our overriding aim is to support all , health care assistants (auxiliaries) and student nurses in need.

Our Welfare Grants Committee regularly reviews policies and procedures to ensure that our resources are being directed to those nurses facing the most severe difficulties, particularly those with very low incomes of £8,000 per year or less. More than a quarter of those who received a regular grant during the year were living below this income level.

Despite difficult times during the recent economic upheaval, I am happy to report that the charity has continued its invaluable work, supporting as many nurses as possible.

Demand for our services is increasing and we know that only the generosity and support of people like you, prevents us from turning away nurses in need, nurses who have selflessly devoted their careers to care for others.

We believe that no-one who is, or who has ever been, a nurse should suffer hardship and through your support we can make that belief a reality.
