In 2008 NurseAid helped almost 600 nurses in need. 258 nurses were given a single grant and the charity continued to support over 330 nurses with a regular weekly grant. Over one third of nurses helped were under the age of 50 – and well over half (64.5%) were under the age of 60. Ill health was the most common reason for financial problems leading to an application. In a large number of cases nurses just could not pay their bills. For analysis of grants made in 2008 – see Applications and Grants Analysis’ |
